On July 12, 1991, in Salem Massachusetts, Brian Brailsford returned home late at night from work. He was expecting to find his wife, Martha, but to his surprise she wasn’t there. He tried to locate her and noticed that it seemed she had left earlier in the day with the intention to come back home in the afternoon. Yet, he spent hours walking around the neighborhood until he was forced to admit that she was missing.
As the search for Martha continued, investigators hit wall after wall and one investigator decided to reach out to Salem’s official witch, Laurie Cabot in hope of getting some answers. Laurie was able to provide some information as to what might have happened to Martha, though how she came to this conclusion was not in an ordinary way.
Laurie said that she had the ability to go into an ‘alpha state’ and was able to access visions that helped to give those searching for Martha clues. These clues were used to help find Martha and figure out who was responsible for her death.
