On August 4, 1892, Andrew Borden was found murdered in his home. Soon after, his wife Abby Borden was also found to have been killed. Both had been brutally attacked with some kind of weapon that was at first thought to be an axe and later believed to be a hatchet. Early on, suspicions turned to Andrew’s youngest daughter, Lizzie Borden who also lived in the house with him at the time.
Lizzie was accused of murdering both Andrew and Abby and put on trial, but ended up being found innocent. Still, to this day, many people believe she is guilty of the killing Andrew and Abby, but that may not be the case after all.
This episode will talk about what happened on the day of the murders and who the Bordens were.
